Yogurtistan is a browser based 3D virtual world, where users can open up their shops, sell real good and services and socialize. At Yogurtistan, I worked on a variety of projects such as: 3D character creation tool, 3D deformation and morphing of characters, facial expressions, eye movement and blinking, lip synchronization and 3D virtual map tool. I utilized object oriented ActionScript programming, 3D modelling and animation programs like 3D Studio Max and design tools like Flash and Photoshop.

What I loved about this project was that it gave me the opportunity to explore the production of virtual worlds, 3D animation and modelling as well as interaction design of 3D spaces and characters. I was attracted to the idea that this virtual world would allow anyone from different backgrounds to open up shops, earn money and raise their life standards by turning their talents and ideas into businesses. My goal was also to internalize the production process to use it for different purposes in the future as I believe virtual environments have a great potential for learning, accessing information, training and immersing people in settings they cannot access in real life.
